From our first pre-session planning phone call, I immediately loved Ali! She told me how much she enjoys having her pictures taken and that she planned to have several photo sessions throughout her senior year. She wanted to capture the different seasons and have special memories from the whole year. Her positive energy and enthusiasm were infectious and she was so easy to talk to. We chatted about what locations she would like and what kind of outfits would coordinate well at each spot. After understanding her personality and styling preferences, we both decided that Midtown Memphis, the Brooks Museum and Shelby Farms Park would be the perfect places to go!
Ali is a huge shopper and loves fashion so I knew she would have awesome outfits. She did a great job preparing and sending me outfit photos so I could do my part and plan our day to get the most out of every minute had together. Imagine my delight when she told me she shares my affinity for hats and the color pink! My clients know how much I love adding just the right accessories to outfits to make the images really stand out.
On session day we had fabulous weather and captured SO many amazing images. Ali is a pro at posing and rocks the sweet smiles and serious looks. We ending up deciding to split her session over two days when we saw that clouds would roll in at the end of our session. I always say it’s worth the wait for the best light, especially when a client has their heart set on honey sunset light in their images. We headed to Shelby Farms to finish up the last outfit and had the best sunset!
Ali’s session was very popular with the senior feature accounts. We were very excited to see several of her images featured on SeniorMuse’s instagram page. The icing on the cake was receiving the latest editing of SeniorMuse magazine (Issue 23) and seeing 6 of her images published! I can’t wait to see Ali again soon for her Spring session at the Memphis Botanic Garden!
Hope you enjoy some of my favorites from Ali’s session….check out her gorgeous red dress!
