Spring graduation photoshoots are super popular at the University of Alabama and it’s easy to understand why. Southern Living ranked the UA campus as one of the most beautiful in the country in 2024. (See the article here) It truly comes alive in the Spring with colorful tulips and other flowers and flowering trees. Students book their sessions with me months in advance to secure the best Spring dates.

Mackenzie graduated in the Spring of 2025 and booked two sessions in April. She wanted to include her boyfriend, two brothers, Big Al and wanted all the colors of spring in the images! On her first session day, it was quite windy so we moved to a sunrise session and were rewarded with the most beautiful morning light.

At The University of Alabama, the must have spots to capture are typically the President’s Mansion, Denny Chimes and Bryant Denny Stadium. During pre-session prep and planning, clients often add to this list with other sentimental campus locations.

Mackenzie’s outfits were absolutely perfect! Between the two sessions, she chose black, white, houndstooth and red dresses and of course her Bama jersey at the stadium! I love when clients choose outfits that show off their personality and pop in their images.

Our second session was SO fun! Mackenzie’s brothers and boyfriend are all Bama students and joined us to jump in a few shots together!

At the end of the session, Big Al joined us at Bryant Denny Stadium. Mackenzie reserved him several weeks in advance and he stayed for an hour. The combo of Big Al and Mackenzie was SO cute! Both have the best energy and both are great posers!

I am so grateful for the opportunity to work with Mackenzie! She is so sweet and full of positive energy and her personality shines in all of her images. After I delivered her gorgeous galleries, I had a great time working with her family to order just the right print products. I love making albums, wall art and other heirloom items so you can display your beautiful images and enjoy them every day!
